Requirements
Vendidi Framework can be installed on Windows server operating system starting from version 2000 Professional or higher. Operating system requires .NET framework (version 1.1 or 2.0) and Microsoft minimum components for publishing Internet web sites (HTTP and Mail server).

In order to use Vendidi Framework, a database is required. Actually, Vendidi supports Microsoft SQL Server (version 2000 or 2005). Otherwise, you can use MSDE 2000 or Microsoft SQL Server Express. The database can be installed on the same Vendidi server or on a different one, placed in your local area network.

Vendidi Class Library is designed to be used with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (version 2003 or 2005). In any case, you may be able to use Vendidi Class Library also with your preferred editor to develop .NET applications.

To use Vendidi, the minimum hardware configuration recommended is: Pentium III processor, 1 GB RAM memory, 50 MB of available hard disk space and an Ethernet card. Obviously, regarding deployment of your developed applications, hardware configuration and number of users can affect product performance. In fact, using Vendidi to create web applications, Internet connection and database reply time could affect the result of your work.

In regards to security, since Vendidi does not use its own publication services, there are absolutely no problems or incompatibility of any kind, to use the product inside firewall protected networks and/or proxy sever.

Vendidi Database Manager, able to create and manage the database structure of any Vendidi application, is a web application and must be accessed by browser. Vendidi Database Manager supports the following browsers: Internet Explorer (from 5.5 or higer), Mozilla Firefox (from 1.0 or higher), Netscape (from 7.1 or higher).
Obviously, Vendidi web applications you create will be able to run on any browser.
